Camp Term 4

Last  week we went to camp at Cooper's Beach. We went to rock pools and the water slide and confidence course and Whangaroa wharf. I enjoyed it.

We made a collage of a sea creature for art.

Basic Facts Term 4

We have been working on answering basic facts questions quickly and instantly.
I should be working on Stage 5. 

I am at Stage 4. I got 20 out of 60.

pet day

Today is our school pet Day . We made vaseline  saucers  using flower  petals . Here is my saucer.

Grandparents 2019

Last Friday we had  our great 's  and Grand day . my Nanny come  along . we did performances  and dancing . we had a delicious morning  tea  and played games .

At the  end to this term we did our handwriting  sample we had to use  our capital  and lower case letters and write a sentence about our Science  fair . what I like about my handwriting is  tidy

Garden to Table

Today in garden to table we did weeding and planting.  We planted passion fruit,  capsicum, sweet corn, basil ,carrot, pumpkin, parsley, tomato, egg plant  and thyme seeds.

We had a yummy picnic on the school field.  We had corn fritters, quiche and fruit kebabs.

Science Fair

Yesterday we had our school science fair.My science investigation  was about forces.

Maths book

For maths this week we read a book called one is a snail , ten is a crab . We  then worked in a groups to create our   own version . My book is called... 1 is a worm, ten is an octopus and a bird.

Moon rover

For science we made a Moon rover lander using only a paper cup, paper, cellotape and straws.  We were given the task of making our Moon rover land softly onto our Moon landscape so that our marsh-mellow astronauts did not fly out.

What I like best about my Moon rover was making it.

What I needed to modify on my Moon lander rover was nothing because it worked well the first time.

One thing  I learned about landing on the Moon was that you need to have a soft landing.

Today we  learnt how to create a minecraft style character in Google sheets. We created an Alien. Here is mine.

We listened to the ANZAC poem and after that we had to draw a picture to go with it.

Giant Soup

I read a book called Giant Soup with my group.  We made a recipe of what they put in the soup. They put in a boy, onions, carrots and  water in the soup and cooked it.  Then he tried it.

Basic Facts Term 1

These are my Basic Facts results for the end of Term One.
I am working on Stage 2-3 on basic Facts and I got 24 and 30.
I can pass Stage 2-3 I just need to work more quickly.
I need to be on Stage 5 by the end of the year.

Handwriting Term One

This is my handwriting Sample for Term One.
I am good at making my letters the correct height.

Bug hotel

We made a Bug hotel.  We made it with wood, hay, sticks, and bamboo. We made it for the good bugs to keep them safe because it is warm inside.

We have been watching Hector's world to learn how to be safe online. 

Environmental

We sketched our bean plants that we grew in class. We then wrote words around the outside to describe the bean plant. We had to use these words to write a piece of descriptive writing. We then cut out our picture and glued it on to your writing. Here is my writing.
